History and the spirit of innovation: A heavenly match
The historical significance of the barrel factory, its location in the picturesque cultural city of Schwäbisch Hall and its inherent spirit of innovation make this conference centre unforgettable. Which is why the claim that we have developed around it goes as follows: Experience. Think. Inspire. These imperatives were woven into a guidance system that helps visitors find their way around the Karl Kurz site. Where once barrels, fuel tanks and even lightweight helmets for Olympic cyclists were manufactured, our communications specialists – together with the interior designers from blocher partners – have awakened the factory premises from their slumber.
Careful modernization by the interior designers has created a 2,400-square-meter conference and event centre that pays tribute to the historic industrial architecture and combines it innovatively with state-of-the-art technology.
The centre’s versatility is expressed in a logo created from transparent letters symbolizing the framework for action. The relationship between old and new, the extension of the past into present, are not only the guiding ideas of the interior design: They can also be experienced on the level of communication. If the key visual abstracts the staircase of St. Michael's Church, retrospectives on the location’s evocative past can also be found in the brochure, which was conceived, written and designed as a central marketing tool.
