expertise accessible communication and wayfinding

Accessible Communication - since the new accessibility law, much of this is now required. We design with the rules, not against them: good contrast, clear type, tactile signs, plain language, real data — and still creative.

Standards as Design

Accessible means clear: good contrast, readable type, tactile signs, and plain language. These are testable rules, not opinions, so we design with them instead of against them. What most people can perceive matters more than what a few people prefer.

This doesn't mean everything turns strict, black, and white. Accessible design should stay helpful and full of life for everyone. The benefit and the feeling go beyond the occasion: a building everyone can find their way around simply works better for all of us.
