Officially, it is called “design in space” or “design in space” – partly because that is how it is googled. But that takes us back to a time when space was still understood as an empty container that could be filled or decorated.
At typenraum, we say: “Design as space, space as design.” Here, there are no walls with design. There is a sense of space that adds up to brand space. This is how space branding becomes brand space.
We integrate design and communication as early as possible into the design process and service phases—including signage systems—in dialogue with architects, interior designers, builders, and brand managers.
