More than signage

On 15 October 2026, Thorsten-Alexander Karl will speak at the 11. Fachtagung bfb barrierefrei bauen in Cologne about the wayfinding system for the Betty Hirsch School Centre of Nikolauspflege in Stuttgart.

For the school centre, typenraum developed a multisensory wayfinding system together with its users. It responds to different perceptual needs and supports independent orientation. In his talk, Thorsten-Alexander Karl will show how architecture, corporate design and spatial communication can work together – and how design can contribute to orientation and participation.
